Spring 2017 Schedule of Events***

  • Psi Chi Rush
    • Eligible students will receive an invitation via email. Consult our requirements or email for any questions.
    • Thursday, March 9 from 6:00-8:00 PM in Violette 1408.
  • Psi Chi Week (March 27-30)
    • Monday: Careers in Psychology
      • Representatives from several schools in the Midwest region will talk about various programs and career tracks in psychology such as I/O psychology, social work, and marriage/family counseling.
      • 6-8 pm in Violette Hall 1328
    • Tuesday: Game Night with Psi Chi
      • We will have board games and a game cube with Smash Bros. Free snacks will be provided.
      • 8-10 pm in Magruder Hall 1096
    • Wednesday: So You Want to go to Graduate School?
      • Current professors, psychology graduate students, and psychology undergraduate students will speak about the graduate school application process. They will answer any questions and give information and advice about successfully applying to graduate schools.
      • 6-7:30 pm in McClain Hall 209
    • Thursday: Non-Profit Panel
      • Several non-profit organizations will speak about their work and answer any questions about non-profit organizations.
      •  6-8 pm in Violette Hall 1408
  • Psi Chi Induction
    • TBA
    • Appetizers will be held at Dukum Inn following induction ceremony
  • Psychology Tutoring
    • Psi Chi will be hosting a tutoring session to prepare psychology students for finals week.
  • Psi Chi Election
    • Elections for Psi Chi executive board involve presentations from members based on what position they are running for and how they would make a good addition (democratic vote decides).
  • Graduate School Expo (Fall only)
    • Various graduate programs (e.g., social work, counseling psychology, doctoral programs) from across the Midwest will have booths set up including information in regards to their programs. Representatives will answer relevant questions.
  • Student Research Conference-Psi Chi
    • Psi Chi is sponsoring Psychology Department during the Student Research Conference, where student research is presented and posters are available for viewing.
